Mahamarg Manas Sewa Foundation ("we", "us", "our") is a Section 8 company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U88100DL2025NPL454016), with its registered office at Plot No-2, (2-D), Kh. No. 32/20/2, PP No-0751, Gemini Park, Najafgarh, New Delhi-110043. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information submitted through mahamarg.org.

Information We Collect

Donation form (/donate/): full name, organisation (optional), email address, mobile number, PAN or Aadhaar number, complete address (address, city, state, PIN code, country), UTR/transaction reference, and an optional payment screenshot.

Volunteer form (/volunteer/): full name, email address, mobile number, city, area of interest, availability, occupation (optional) and a message (optional).

We do not use cookies or any third-party tools to track visitors for advertising or analytics purposes.

Why We Collect This Information

• PAN/Aadhaar and address details are collected because Indian tax law requires this information to issue 80G tax-exemption receipts and to file the related annual donor disclosures with the Income Tax Department. Our 80G registration is currently under application — once approved, this information will be used for that purpose, including for donations already made.
• Contact details are used to verify donations, send receipts and confirmations, and respond to volunteer applications.
• A payment screenshot, if provided, helps our team verify and reconcile your contribution.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

Submitted information is stored in Microsoft Dataverse, part of Microsoft's secure cloud infrastructure, with access restricted to authorised Foundation staff. Payment screenshots are stored on our web server under randomised, non-guessable filenames and are not publicly browsable. All data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. We do not share donor or volunteer information for marketing purposes. We may share information with government or regulatory authorities where required by law — for example, with the Income Tax Department in connection with 80G compliance once our registration is approved.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above and to meet our statutory recordkeeping obligations under applicable Indian company and tax law.

Your Rights

You may write to us at info@mahamarg.org to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will honour such requests except where we are required to retain records for statutory compliance (for example, records of a processed donation).

Children's Privacy

Our forms are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
